Christian Meditation…

Joshua 1:8, “Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.”

The first thing that comes to my mind when I begin to think of meditation, is of a buddhist monk sitting in the mountains legs crossed and arms out stretched reflecting on His essence of being. I began to search the Holy Bible to see what the Word of God had to say on the subject of meditation and I was blown away! The Bible references somewhat 20 scriptures that promotes meditation on the word of God, with Psalm 1:2, “But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night” making a strong case that the Bible strongly encourages the act of meditation. So just what is meditation? Some would believe that it is a new age and demonic act, that false religions use to channel spirits. In fact the dictionary defines meditation as, “The practice of concetrated focus or reflection upon a desired matter.” Meditation and reflection on the word of God allows for the Holy Spirit to impart divine knowledge into our very soul to change our way of thinking and allowing all to see what we truly are, “Sons and Daughters “of the Living God, Romans 8:14. So what do we as Christians meditate on you ask? The answer is, “Who we are in Christ Jesus!” You are a new creation 2 Corinthians 5:17, you are righteous and Holy Ephesians 4:24, you are the salt of the earth Matthew 5:13, you are filled with the divine nature of Christ, escaping the corruotion of the world 2 Peter 1:4, and are redeemed in the sight of God by the blood of the Lamb, Revelation 5:9. Most importantly, “You are more than a conqueror through Christ.” Meaning that You are granted victory through every trial through out your life. Their are plenty more scriptures for us to dwell on I urge all to put into practice of meditation on the Word of God, and let your earthly kingdom reap the benefits of God’s knowledge in Christ!

The Unforgivable Sin…

Matthew 12:31-32, “Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.”

The Holy Bible speaks of a time when many believer’s will be delivered up to the Anti-Christ to give a testimony on the behalf of the Lord Jesus Christ, proclaiming that He is the one true Son of God. Jesus made reference to this event three times in scripture Matthew 12:31-32, Mark 3:29, and Luke 12:10. At this time in front of a world audience the Holy Spirit will overcome the Christian believer and speak the true Word of God for the entirety of all those who have ears to hear and hopefully repent before the second coming of our Lord. This overcoming of the Holy Spirit will not be forced, but will come on the Christian only if he or she allows. Those who allow the Spirit of God to speak through them will reach many with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and allow the lost to overcome the coming tribulation. Those who do not, deny God the opportunity to bring many back unto Him by way of hearing the testimony of Jesus Christ. Jesus described this sin as unforgivable to those true believer’s who say they follow Christ, but deny His Holy Spirit to speak through them in the presence of The Beast. Please know that this sin can ONLY be committed by those who profess Jesus Christ as the true Savior, and does not apply to those who have no reference of Jesus Christ as God. So who will deny God the opportunity to witness to millions in front of the Devil incarnate? I believe many weak Christian’s will as we can attest from popular Pastor’s who deny Christ as the only way when being interviewed on major news stations. And not to mention many Church goers who refuse to share Christ with co-workers and friends on the belief that they may be rejected or ridiculed. I ask that every Christian shares the Gospel regardless of the circumstances in front of all and allow the Holy Spirit to move through them to convert others! It will build our Faith in the Lord and prepare those who are chosen to speak, the strength and courage to testify and convert many. Shalom…

Effeminate Men…

Deuteronomy 22:5 (NKJV), “A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman’s garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the Lord your God.

The holy scriptures give strict rules and regulations, on how children of the Most High conduct themselves. One of the most overlooked, is proper gender roles. In today’s society it is not uncommon to see men wearing earrings, or carrying a bag that strongly resembles a purse, or the skinny jeans. This practice of the enemy is to emasculate men from the authority and image that God has given unto them. In return if men assume more of a effeminate role they loose their manhood in the process. This is one of the examples in which Satan is destroying the family household. If men begin to look and act like women, this action in return forces women to step into a leadership role due to the man’s neglect. In many cases this causes a switch of gender roles that God never intended. The book of Genesis 5:2 (NKJV) states, “He created them male and female, and blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created.” The Bible states that we are created differently male and female, and the line between the two should never be crossed due to any fad or fashion. Through the wearing of women’s garments the agenda of homosexuality is promoted as well, giving promotion to their cause and effort. Christian believer’s if we are to inherit the Kingdom of God, we must properly reflect what God has ordained. The Apostle Paul addressed this in 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 (KJV), “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.” The original creation of man in God’s original plan has never changed with the times. I believe it is time that we start allowing the Holy Spirit to direct us on how to carry ourselves in this world we live in, not only for our salvation but more importantly our Families. Shalom…

Deborah and Jael, Powerful Women of the Old Testament…

Judges 1: 4-5, “And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time. And she dwelt under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in mount Ephraim: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment.”

Little do many followers of Christ know today, is of how Jehovah God used some women in the old testament in the time before Jesus. We are all familiar with the New Testament stories in particular Mary the Mother of Jesus and those who told the Disciples of the empty tomb of the resurrected Christ. God used two women in the Old Testament in particular for a special purpose named Deborah and Jael. Deborah was a Prophetess which was raised up at the time Israel was commanded by God to take the plentiful land of Esdraelon from a Canaanite army led by Sisera, a powerful Canaanite leader.

This story begins with Deborah calling the reluctant general in the Israel army Barak and imparting in Him the Word of the Lord and what He had commanded of His people. Judges 1:6-9 reads, “and she sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedeshnaphtali, and said unto him, Hath not the LORD God of Israel commanded, saying, Go and draw toward mount Tabor, and take with thee ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of the children of Zebulun? And I will draw unto thee to the river Kishon Sisera, the captain of Jabin’s army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into thine hand. And Barak said unto her, If thou wilt go with me, then I will go: but if thou wilt not go with me, then I will not go. And she said, I will surely go with thee: notwithstanding the journey that thou takest shall not be for thine honour; for the LORD shall sell Sisera into the hand of a woman. And Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh” Jehovah empowered a woman due to the reluctance of the Israel Army commander Barak to carry out His commands. This speaks volumes that God uses everyone to do His will not always men, the Lord looks for any and everyone who will hear His voice.

He is not a respecter of persons (Romans 2:11). The battle commanded by Deborah played out in Judges 4:12-16,”And they shewed Sisera that Barak the son of Abinoam was gone up to mount Tabor. And Sisera gathered together all his chariots, even nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people that were with him, from Harosheth of the Gentiles unto the river of Kishon. And Deborah said unto Barak, Up; for this is the day in which the LORD hath delivered Sisera into thine hand: is not the LORD gone out before thee? So Barak went down from mount Tabor, and ten thousand men after him. And the LORD discomfited Sisera, and all his chariots, and all his host, with the edge of the sword before Barak; so that Sisera lighted down off his chariot, and fled away on his feet. But Barak pursued after the chariots, and after the host, unto Harosheth of the Gentiles: and all the host of Sisera fell upon the edge of the sword; and there was not a man left.” God was true to His word and swept the Canaanite Army from the land in which he had asked Deborah to claim. The Lord utterly destroyed the all powerful army that the men of Israel were hesitant to do battle with, only Deborah the Prophetess was strong enough and had the Faith to trust in the Lord for her strength and not in what she saw on the battle field. The destruction laid upon the Canaanite army was completely overwhelming, causing the General to flee the battlefield into a Kenite camp inhabited by Jael. Judges 4:17-24 records Sisera fate, “Howbeit Sisera fled away on his feet to the tent of Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite: for there was peace between Jabin the king of Hazor and the house of Heber the Kenite. And Jael went out to meet Sisera, and said unto him, Turn in, my lord, turn in to me; fear not. And when he had turned in unto her into the tent, she covered him with a mantle. And he said unto her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water to drink; for I am thirsty. And she opened a bottle of milk, and gave him drink, and covered him. Again he said unto her, Stand in the door of the tent, and it shall be, when any man doth come and enquire of thee, and say, Is there any man here? that thou shalt say, No. Then Jael Heber’s wife took a nail of the tent, and took an hammer in her hand, and went softly unto him, and smote the nail into his temples, and fastened it into the ground: for he was fast asleep and weary. So he died. And, behold, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him, and said unto him, Come, and I will shew thee the man whom thou seekest. And when he came into her tent, behold, Sisera lay dead, and the nail was in his temples. So God subdued on that day Jabin the king of Canaan before the children of Israel.”

The Kenite woman Jael was moved by the Holy Spirit to finish the mission of removing Sisera from the land taken by Deborah at the command of Jehovah God. Judges chapter 4 and 5 shows many us that God uses anyone for the purpose of His glory, whether it be to command a Word such as Deborah or smite a enemy such as Jael did. God uses woman as such today in the office of Pastors, Apostles or those serving in the Armed Forces even and not just men as many Churches falsely preach today. The Lord loves all His children who in return fulfill His divine purpose. Shalom…
