Matthew 15:8, “These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me.”
The term pseudo is defined as someone or something that is perceived to be real, when in actuality is a fake. In today’s day and age of the modern Christian world, the rise of the Pseudo Christian is ever prevalent. The Holy Bible defines Christina Disciples, as those who follow the life and teachings of the Messiah Jesus Christ. Being a Christian is standing fast on the Word of God, the Holy Bible and being Holy (1 Peter 1:16). Holiness is not being perfect; holiness is being true to where you are in your walk with God (Romans 6:12-14).
Today many non-believers claim to know Christ based on the necessity of social acceptance, in order to sway true believers. Pseudo Christian’s cause dismay in the Church and give false hope to the world, by keeping one foot on both sides. As a believer in the Most High you cannot walk a fine line of being saved and being a sinner. For instance, if you claim to know God you cannot be cursing with your friends one minute and then preaching the Gospel the next. You cannot be sleeping with different women in and out of the Church and say you care about your fellow man the next. The Lord is looking for not only believers but doers of His word, James 1:22-25, “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.”
Pseudo-Christianity is a false religion many celebrities, world known pastors and others believe in. In thinking you know God and knowingly sinning will cause unbelievers to question the Holy Bible. Never forget that you are a direct ambassador of the Gospel of Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20). We are the light unto the world, and need to show exactly how Christ can change their life for the better through the righteousness of His sacrifice. Not through being worldly, but like Christ.
