Overcomer’s In Christ

27 Aug

In the time that we are living in, it is very important to look to the Cross of Christ. Trusting that our beloved Savior has rescued use from the hardships of today and those yet to come. The world at times can be very harsh financially and spiritually challenging but Jesus by way of the Cross has made a way. Two great verses that I love to read over and over are John 16:33 and Matthew 6:31-33.

John 16:33, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

Matthew 6:31-33, “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear? For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. “

These verses remind us that peace comes from trusting Christ, not from having a trouble-free life. Jesus has already overcome the world, so we can face difficulties with courage rather than fear.

Instead of being consumed by worries about our needs, Jesus calls us to put God and His ways first. Our heavenly Father knows what we need and cares for us, Shalom…
