Scripture Study- Ephesians 5:27, “that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.”

24 Oct

Ephesians 5:27 speaks of the Church which represents us as followers of Jesus . Upon the Lord’s return He is looking for those without spot or blemish. You may ask yourself how can we presented unto Jesus while still in sinful flesh and still having the desire to sin? This made possible only by one placing their faith in Him for salvation.

While we are in no way holy, Jesus is! Having lived a just and sinless life (Hebrews 4:15). Without spot nor blemish does not speak of us, but of Him. Christ is returning for those who clings to the Cross and Him for their salvation. Have you been made clean by accepting the Lord and Saving Jesus Christ?

I pray that everyone that has ears to hear will so at the end of this age we can be presented unto Him in Jesus perfect nature, Shalom…

Scripture Study- 1 Corinthians 15:55-57

1 Corinthians 15:55-57, “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

1 Corinthians 15:55-57, has the Apostle Paul looking forward to the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. “O death, where is thy sting,” is Paul proclaiming his and every Christian victory over death, through Jesus’ sacrifice. The Lord Jesus Christ is important to our victory over death because He has defeated it. John 11:25 states, “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live,” meaning an earthly death is not final.

Jesus Christ the son of The Most High, lived a sinless life (1 Peter 2:22) and presented the only suitable sacrifice for the sin of mankind (Romans 6:23) which the law could not. After His death, burial and resurrection 2 Timothy 1:10 reads, “but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.”

1 Corinthians 15:55-57 is a proclamation to live boldly for Him. Even if we do die a natural death before His second coming, we still live with Him. John 14:19, “A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also,” Shalom…
