The Power of The Resurrection…

8 Sep

Philippians 3:10-11, “ that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.”

The power of Christ’s resurrection is a very important subject for every believer. In placing our faith in Jesus’ resurrection is to atone for our sins in being made holy in His death and resurrection. This is due to what is stated in 2 Corinthians 5:21, “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

Jesus Christ took the sins of the world with Him to the cross, where He crucified it with him. The resurrection signifies YAH’s acceptance of his sacrifice by raising Jesus from the dead. This grants us power over sin while it still remains in everyone’s we have the  grace from its corruption and death. Understanding this will help everyone in their daily walk, through trials and tribulations knowing the power of the Cross, Shalom…

Are You Replacing Jesus In Your Life?

11 Aug

1 Timothy 4:1, “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons.”

As we move closer to the second coming of Jesus, it’s alarming to see how the world has steadily removed Christ as our Lord and Savior. First removing prayer in public schools, work, social gatherings and now by encouraging those lost spiritually to focus on physical self improvement and worldly development. Now instead of finding a Church, individuals are joining gyms, meditation groups or choosing to invest more time into making money and furthering their careers in hope of filling that void.

The enemy looks to replace the finished work of Jesus at the cross with a false gospel. One that will satisfy you for the moment but will not save you from sin. Pain, hurt, anxiety are all the result of the sin nature in us. Working out and meditating on positive things may help for a moment but only Jesus can truly save us. Acts 4:12  “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Jesus Christ died for everything one time so we would not die by it many times. In times of trials we need to stand firm on our faith and in prayer, asking for guidance and direction

The Bible states in James 4:8, “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” Turn to the Most High when adversity arises and not the world’s alternative. In Jesus, the Holy Spirit will guide your life and decisions for your best interest and YAH’s new world, Shalom…

Scripture Study: The Significance of Christ First and Last Words to Man…

14 Jul

Luke 2:49, “And He said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?”

John 19:30, “So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.”

The recorded first words of Jesus Christ begin with Him saying He is about his Father’s business and last are “It is finished.” Jesus came to Earth on a very significant mission and that was to preach the good news of the Gospels and to be our sin atonement (Luke 24:46-48), not to condemn mankind but to save it. The awesome significance between these two scriptures is that the redemption process in Him is complete. The remission of sins is finished (Matthew 26:28), our forgiveness is finished (1 John 1:9), and we are in good standing with YAH (Romans 3:24). In Jesus’ final act of love, his sacrifice redeemed everyone who believes in the power of the cross.

There is no  need to add to what Christ has done or take away from the Gospels, just believe in Jesus Christ finished work for redemption. “It is finished,’ Shalom…

Repentance and Forgiveness; The Only Response to Sin…

29 Jun

Luke 24:46-48, “Then He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And you are witnesses of these things.

Repentance is defined as sincere regret or remorse for an action. While we all may sin and fall short of YAH’s will, the Bible gives us a clear answer on how we should respond, and that is to repent and forgive. The death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ has given us a way to escape sins entrapment. The blood of Christ can wash away all sin if we truly repent and turn away from it (1 John 1:7-9).

In regards to when friends or family members’ sins affect us and cause heartache, the Bible says to forgive. Luke 17:3, “Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.” The scriptures state to forgive them every time but this is under the belief that they are truly repentant and do not keep repeating this same behavior.

While we are in the flesh, sin will always be a part of our human nature (Romans 7:14). Through accepting Jesus Christ and striving to reflect His image, we have an escape from living a sinful life. The Holy Spirit will help us with every struggle (John 14:26). For times that we fall short we repent and when those who sin against us we forgive just as He has forgiven us, Shalom.

Confronting Sins Desire…

13 Jun

Genesis 4:7, “If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.”

Scripture states that like Satan sin has the same desire for our destruction. What is unique about the sin nature, it will manifest in individuals differently from person to person. Where one may have a drug or alcohol addiction, another will have a sex or gambling one. However it may manifest Satan uses this sin to lead us astray from the Most High.

As Believers, we continually must examine ourselves to see what sin is desiring from us. Whether it’s anger, lust of the flesh or addiction we must continue to pray and submit to the Holy Spirit of YAH through Christ Jesus. Luke 21:31-32 states, “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”

Only by the Blood of Jesus can we resist sin and the Devil and escape destruction. I pray for us all to stay submissive to Jesus, in every aspect of our life. To resist sin and to use that temptation to strengthen our faith, Shalom…

Scripture Study- Isaiah 41:13, “For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand,

28 Apr

Isaiah 41:13, speaks to the enduring protection given by YAH for those washed by the blood of Jesus Christ. The right hand signifies a place of honor in the Bible, signifying that the Most High protects and cares for each and everyone of His children. This is very encouraging as we will go through hard times on Earth, knowing that He is always watching over you providing guidance

In Christ we are given access to the Father, the ability to ask boldly for guidance and His protection. This protection covers grief, mental illness, health concerns and a plethora of other concerns while we are here in the flesh. The spiritual presence of YAH is here, and will always be here for those that reflect the image of Jesus Christ.

2 Thessalonians 3:3, “But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.” In times of hardship take solace in the right hand of YAH, for protection and strength in order to endure, Shalom.

Trust In YAH’s Process During Trials…

18 Apr

Mark 14:36, “And He said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will.”

During times of uncertainty it is imperative to keep our Faith in the Most High, trusting Him in all matters. This is especially the case during trials and tribulations, that we pray for His glory to be shown. Jesus Christ in Mark 14:36 prayed to the Father that if by any means for the sins of the world to be taken away other than by death let it be, but in the end let YAH’s will be done. We too need to give our entire situation over to Him despite the outcome we may see happen.

This process is always for the edification of not only ourselves but for the Church. Ephesians 4:12, “for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.” This edification provides encouragement to all, so when our faith is tested we can endure unto the end. Great examples of trusting in YAH are found in the Gospel’s, the book of Job, Acts and the Apostle Paul’s work (2 Corinthians 11:16-33).

Encouragement can always be found in the scriptures, knowing  that glory is always the end result for our Faith. Trust in YAH, masking His will your own. Enduring the process of trials and tribulations for the glory of all, Shalom…

Scripture Study- 1 Sam 15:22, “Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams.

11 Apr

To obey is better than sacrifice is the statement made here by YAH. In short, being obedient is always better than to sin and repent later. Saul in chapter 15 of 1 Samuel was given direct orders from the Most High to destroy not only King Agag but the entirety of the Amalek’s, instead choosing to spare the King and the best of the livestock for their own use (1 Sam 15:7-9).

This teaching moment is important for us today as well. For when the Lord gives us direct instructions, which can be to distance ourselves from a job, friends, or loved ones at times due to them hindering our spiritual growth. Not to leave the door cracked but to close it completely. We never want to only partly obey YAH as it is His will we are bringing to this world and not our own (Matthew 6:9).

Why is obedience such a big deal in the eyes of the Lord? This is due to Him wanting us to honor His authority, trusting Him with our lives and living totally by Faith in Jesus Christ. I pray we fully trust him today and not have to repent for disobedience tomorrow, Shalom…

Scripture Study- Galatians 13:20, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.“

28 Mar

The Apostle Paul is addressing in this passage,  his new life in Jesus Christ. A totally redeemed version of himself fully submitted to the will of YAH. The same refers to us, when we repent and accept Jesus into our lives, the death of Jesus is symbolic of our old life and being born again as a new person spiritually with His resurrection. We live now to function as YAH’s conduit here in the Earth, spreading love, truth and the Gospel of Christ.

The new life that we live now was bought with a price (1 Corinthians 6:20), and the high wage could and only can be paid by the finish work of the Cross. We now cling to the Cross in Faith, knowing that Jesus Christ is our Lord and redeemer, Shalom…

Living For Yah In Today’s World…

24 Mar

Romans 12:1-2, I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

How do we stand for Christ today? This question is asked so often in the Christian community with the answer always being the same, to stand on sound Bible doctrine. Though it many seem more anti-Christ agendas are popping up more and more, this is due to the increase in how information can travel today.

Noah dealt with this same environment in Genesis 6:5, “The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time.” Our Lord  said these days would return in Matthew 24:27, “But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.“

Living for YAH today means to proclaim the truth in the face of lies an adversity. In 2 Timothy 4:2 Apostle Paul wrote, “Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.” In Mark 16:15 we are charged to proclaim the Gospel to the world regardless.

Though persecution will come at times, know that the Lord will provide a way for us. Hebrews 13:5-6, Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me,” Shalom…
