Scripture Study-Mark 10:46-52…

16 Sep

Scripture Study-Mark 10: verses 46 through 52, “Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. Then they called the blind man, saying to him, “Be of good cheer. Rise, He is calling you.” And throwing aside his garment, he rose and came to Jesus. So Jesus answered and said to him, “What do you want Me to do for you?” The blind man said to Him, “Rabboni, that I may receive my sight.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.

Mark chapter 10, verses 46 through 52 is a testimony of faith and fervent persistent prayer, despite what others will say. The man Bartimaeus, although he was blind, was the only one who could truly see who Jesus Christ is. This same issue falls on the body of Christ, as in having the Holy Spirit we can recognize the divine nature of Christ, the power to forgive sin and be made whole.

Persistence in prayer is another key. In a world where we look to men or politics to be the answer to our needs, we as believers know that Jesus and only Jesus is the way to escape hardship, heartache and the pain in this world. As in Matthew chapter 11  verses 28, all who are labor and heavy laden he will give them all rest, if we have the faith to believe. And lastly, to set aside the naysayers.

Romans 16 verse 17, states “Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them.”  Never allow others to discourage your desire to seek and find YAH for needs or questions that you have. We are His children, and as with all children we need the guidance of our guardians in times of need, Shalom…

The Lying Wonders of Satan…

28 Jan

2 Thessalonians 2:9, “Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders.”

Having fundamental belief in the Holy Bible is very crucial in these end times. Not only faith in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus but also of Satan’s endgame plan the Anti-Christ. A vast majority of the world believe or have heard the Gospel message but many are only expecting a returning Christ and not first the Antichrist arrival on the world scene. The lying wonders of the Devil’s avatar will cause many to place their faith in Him, and war with the real Christ once He returns after with the saints.

The lying wonders will be reminiscent of the miracles Jesus accomplished during his earthly ministry. Healings (Matt 15:30), raising the dead (Mark 5:21 through 43) and possibly power over the elements (Mark 4:35 through 41). The difference between Jesus and the Antichrist, is that the false messiah will claim these miracles for himself instead of giving YAH the glory.

Jesus Christ states in John 10:25-38, “Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father’s name, they bear witness of Me.  Butyou do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you.  My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one.”

Jesus will come in YAH’s name to bring his kingdom unto the Earth. The other to bring destruction in his, Shalom.

A Life In Jesus Matters…

22 Jan

Galatians 2:20, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

Imagine if Jesus Christ walked the Earth today? Imagine the healing, knowledge and spiritual revelation available to all those who made contact with him. Having a life submitted to YAH through Christ in essence is that. Being crucified with Christ and putting aside our own mindset so the Holy Spirit can guide us gives us the opportunity to act as his avatars in the natural world.

1 Corinthians 12:8-10,  To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit,  to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits,to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.

While operating in the Spirit blesses this world, a life in Christ matters most to the individual. In having being saved from sin and death, and the grace to share with others, Shalom…

Casting Your Pearls Before Swine…

7 Jan

Matthew 7:6, “Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.”

Matthew 7 verse 6, speaks to believers not spending exhausting time sharing the Gospel with those who have hardened their hearts. At times, we try to persuade close friends or influential people to accept Christ when in their hearts they have already chosen not to. While we hope that everyone will come into the belief in our Lord Jesus Christ they never will due to their fortified unbelief.

We are only to try to share, but if met with opposing criticism to move on. Imagine spending an entire day trying to complete a single task when many more still remain. The same goes for the Gospel message. Matthew 9 verse 37 states, “ Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.” What one person discards another will cherish.

The Gospel message is for everyone, but we must be wise to whom we spend our time sharing it. We are only to share, and the Holy Spirit will draw them unto the cross of Jesus Christ, shalom

We Are Fighters Of The Faith…

25 Nov

1 Timothy 6:12,”Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.”

The Christian faith draws many similarities to the sport of boxing. Such as when first starting we are amateurs, not knowing all there is to know but striving to strengthen our faith to contend with the enemy. Much like each boxers training session in the gym perfecting their punches or for us in Church, learning more of Jesus Christ and perfecting our faith.

The day will also come when we will be required to utilize our faith or trainning in earthly trials. Please know that no matter the hardship, the Holy Spirit of YAH is in our corner guiding us through every round and ultimately to victory. Psalm 144:1 states, “Blessed be the Lord my strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight.”

While fighting is a direct result of this fallin world, the Lord has equipped us for battle.Though having to contend for the faith here on Earth, YAH promises a day when we can take our gloves off and only praise him. 2 Tim 4:7-8, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforththere is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing,” Shalom…

Curators Of His Word…

4 Nov

LUKE 11:28, “ But He said, “More than that, blessed are thosewho hear the word of God and keep it!”

A curator is defined as a keeper or custodian of a museum or other collection. Since the Lord Jesus left to go and prepare a place for us (John 14:2), we are left with the task of sharing the Gospel message with the world. Speaking in Mark 16:15, Jesus stated “to go into the world and proclaim the Gospel to all creation.” This is in hopes that all creation will come to accept and be redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus Christ and be ready for His second coming. As a curator of the Gospel message we must remain true to the original doctrine handed down from Christ and throughout the generations.

The Gospel message is as read in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Placing your faith in the Cross of Christ for redemption and leading a life led by the Holy Spirit in submission to YAH the Father. This message is not to be tainted by new age beliefs or watered down to persuade the world to receive, but preached unapologetically to the masses for repentance.

As we are led to spread the Gospel message, pray first that the message being shared is pure first as if being spoken from the mouth of Jesus and true to the Holy Bible. Being kept in its purest form like the items curated in the holiest museum, Shalom.

Scripture Study- 1 Corinthians 15:55-57

8 Oct

1 Corinthians 15:55-57, “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

1 Corinthians 15:55-57, has the Apostle Paul looking forward to the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. “O death, where is thy sting,” is Paul proclaiming his and every Christian victory over death, through Jesus’ sacrifice. The Lord Jesus Christ is important to our victory over death because He has defeated it. John 11:25 states, “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live,” meaning an earthly death is not final.

Jesus Christ the son of The Most High, lived a sinless life (1 Peter 2:22) and presented the only suitable sacrifice for the sin of mankind (Romans 6:23) which the law could not. After His death, burial and resurrection 2 Timothy 1:10 reads, “but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.”

1 Corinthians 15:55-57 is a proclamation to live boldly for Him. Even if we do die a natural death before His second coming, we still live with Him. John 14:19, “A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also,” Shalom…

Escape The World Now…

29 Sep

Luke 21:36, “Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.”

Are you discerning the times? This is a constant need for all believers in Jesus Christ. While we are in the daily grind of working to provide a living for our families, be watchful. This world is on a steady economic, moral and spiritual decline. Each day more and more news of wars, civil unrest and crime is being reported with the worst still yet to come. Christ asks all of His followers to be mindful of the times and coming tribulations and find refuge at the cross.

No political official will bring peace but only one who is peace in our Lord Jesus Christ! Isaiah 9:6, “For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Only through our faith in Him and sacrifice as the Son of YAH (John 3:16) can we escape this world and the clutches of sin and death.

Are you ready to escape this world? Then pray this out loud,”Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name, Amen Shalom…

Never Perfect, Always Progressing…

26 Sep

Philippians 3:13-14, “Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

One goal that I sometimes lose sight of is my daily progression in the spirit. Asking myself, “How can I be better for the Lord today than what I was yesterday,” and not remain stagnant as I know YAH has something new for me today. Whether this progression comes from daily reading, prayer or meditation on the Most High, the Lord has a new prize for us today.

While we are made whole the day we accept Jesus (Colossians 2:10), we need to align our flesh to His will and present our physical bodies to Him in this natural world. The Apostle Paul alludes to the old Him as the main protagonist in His spiritual battle. As the need to put away our old ways of thinking and acting in order to reflect the totality of Jesus Christ.

Never perfect but always progressing towards the high calling of YAH, is a dire need for all Disciples of Christ. Striving each day to reach the perfection that is only in Christ, Shalom…

Always Giving Thanks to YAH…

27 Jun

Ephesians 5:20, “always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.“

It’s good to every now and again to reflect on all the goodness of YAH. Giving thanks to the Most High for saving me, Psalm 18:1-50.

For never giving up on me, Isaiah 41 verse 10.The unconditional love. Romans 8:39,

“nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.“

For finding me John 6:44, “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day.“

Providing for me, Philippians 4:19.

For healing me 1 Peter 2:24, “‘He Himself bore our sins’ in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; ‘by His wounds you have been healed.’”

Always making away Isaiah 43 verse 19, “Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.“

Lastly for Jesus Christ! John 3:16, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life,” Shalom
