We Are Fighters Of The Faith…

25 Nov

1 Timothy 6:12,”Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.”

The Christian faith draws many similarities to the sport of boxing. Such as when first starting we are amateurs, not knowing all there is to know but striving to strengthen our faith to contend with the enemy. Much like each boxers training session in the gym perfecting their punches or for us in Church, learning more of Jesus Christ and perfecting our faith.

The day will also come when we will be required to utilize our faith or trainning in earthly trials. Please know that no matter the hardship, the Holy Spirit of YAH is in our corner guiding us through every round and ultimately to victory. Psalm 144:1 states, “Blessed be the Lord my strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight.”

While fighting is a direct result of this fallin world, the Lord has equipped us for battle.Though having to contend for the faith here on Earth, YAH promises a day when we can take our gloves off and only praise him. 2 Tim 4:7-8, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforththere is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing,” Shalom…

Curators Of His Word…

4 Nov

LUKE 11:28, “ But He said, “More than that, blessed are thosewho hear the word of God and keep it!”

A curator is defined as a keeper or custodian of a museum or other collection. Since the Lord Jesus left to go and prepare a place for us (John 14:2), we are left with the task of sharing the Gospel message with the world. Speaking in Mark 16:15, Jesus stated “to go into the world and proclaim the Gospel to all creation.” This is in hopes that all creation will come to accept and be redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus Christ and be ready for His second coming. As a curator of the Gospel message we must remain true to the original doctrine handed down from Christ and throughout the generations.

The Gospel message is as read in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Placing your faith in the Cross of Christ for redemption and leading a life led by the Holy Spirit in submission to YAH the Father. This message is not to be tainted by new age beliefs or watered down to persuade the world to receive, but preached unapologetically to the masses for repentance.

As we are led to spread the Gospel message, pray first that the message being shared is pure first as if being spoken from the mouth of Jesus and true to the Holy Bible. Being kept in its purest form like the items curated in the holiest museum, Shalom.

Scripture Study- Ephesians 5:27, “that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.”

24 Oct

Ephesians 5:27 speaks of the Church which represents us as followers of Jesus . Upon the Lord’s return He is looking for those without spot or blemish. You may ask yourself how can we presented unto Jesus while still in sinful flesh and still having the desire to sin? This made possible only by one placing their faith in Him for salvation.

While we are in no way holy, Jesus is! Having lived a just and sinless life (Hebrews 4:15). Without spot nor blemish does not speak of us, but of Him. Christ is returning for those who clings to the Cross and Him for their salvation. Have you been made clean by accepting the Lord and Saving Jesus Christ?

I pray that everyone that has ears to hear will so at the end of this age we can be presented unto Him in Jesus perfect nature, Shalom…

Scripture Study- 1 Corinthians 15:55-57

8 Oct

1 Corinthians 15:55-57, “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

1 Corinthians 15:55-57, has the Apostle Paul looking forward to the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. “O death, where is thy sting,” is Paul proclaiming his and every Christian victory over death, through Jesus’ sacrifice. The Lord Jesus Christ is important to our victory over death because He has defeated it. John 11:25 states, “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live,” meaning an earthly death is not final.

Jesus Christ the son of The Most High, lived a sinless life (1 Peter 2:22) and presented the only suitable sacrifice for the sin of mankind (Romans 6:23) which the law could not. After His death, burial and resurrection 2 Timothy 1:10 reads, “but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.”

1 Corinthians 15:55-57 is a proclamation to live boldly for Him. Even if we do die a natural death before His second coming, we still live with Him. John 14:19, “A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also,” Shalom…

Escape The World Now…

29 Sep

Luke 21:36, “Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.”

Are you discerning the times? This is a constant need for all believers in Jesus Christ. While we are in the daily grind of working to provide a living for our families, be watchful. This world is on a steady economic, moral and spiritual decline. Each day more and more news of wars, civil unrest and crime is being reported with the worst still yet to come. Christ asks all of His followers to be mindful of the times and coming tribulations and find refuge at the cross.

No political official will bring peace but only one who is peace in our Lord Jesus Christ! Isaiah 9:6, “For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Only through our faith in Him and sacrifice as the Son of YAH (John 3:16) can we escape this world and the clutches of sin and death.

Are you ready to escape this world? Then pray this out loud,”Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name, Amen Shalom…

Never Perfect, Always Progressing…

26 Sep

Philippians 3:13-14, “Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

One goal that I sometimes lose sight of is my daily progression in the spirit. Asking myself, “How can I be better for the Lord today than what I was yesterday,” and not remain stagnant as I know YAH has something new for me today. Whether this progression comes from daily reading, prayer or meditation on the Most High, the Lord has a new prize for us today.

While we are made whole the day we accept Jesus (Colossians 2:10), we need to align our flesh to His will and present our physical bodies to Him in this natural world. The Apostle Paul alludes to the old Him as the main protagonist in His spiritual battle. As the need to put away our old ways of thinking and acting in order to reflect the totality of Jesus Christ.

Never perfect but always progressing towards the high calling of YAH, is a dire need for all Disciples of Christ. Striving each day to reach the perfection that is only in Christ, Shalom…

Why The World Needs Jesus…

16 Sep

John 3:17, “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”

While Christian believers know why they are in need of a savior for the remission of sin (Acts 2:38) and to escape death (Psalms 68 verse 20). The natural world we live in still thrives in a fallen state. A state of war, corruption, murder and crime. Jesus Christ is the cure for all its ailments. Even when there is peace in our lives somewhere, sin is operating in abundance. The current world system still operates under satanic persuasion bringing about sin and death.

While we cannot change the world overnight. Whenever and wherever we must be ready to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the unsaved, letting the Holy Spirit work to change everyone from the perishable to the to the imperishable. 1 Corinthians 9:25, “And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.”

Saving nonbelievers from the corruption of the world, is a daunting task. However, we are backed by love and the precious blood of Jesus to do exactly just that, Shalom.

Scripture Study- Romans 5:8-9

11 Sep

Scripture Study- Romans 5:8-9, “ But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.”

Romans 5:8-9 is a proclamation of the enduring love YAH has for His children. While we were dead in our sin, He sent Jesus to die for us. In essence, the Most High loved us even when we did’nt love ourselves. YAH looked past our sinful acts and saw the goodness in everyone, granting us grace and mercy.

In verse 9, the scripture tell us that even more love and blessings will come forth once we are redeemed by Jesus Christ. It’s a testimony to never give up on anyone, and trust that the blood of Christ can justify everyone, Shalom.

The Rebellious Spirit…

5 Sep

Isaiah 30:1, “Woe to the rebellious children,” says the Lord, “Who take counsel, but not of Me,And who devise plans, but not of My Spirit, That they may add sin to sin.”

The current assessment of today’s society, is that everyone is seeking a form of godliness without Jesus Christ. While the Gospel message has been heard, many still look for a alternative salvation. This is due to the Gospel message not linning up with their current lifestyle or the current social climate. This turning away, leads to them rebelling away from YAH’s son Jesus Christ.

These alternate methods for salvation can be new world religions, spirituality or secular morality. While these alternatives can satisfy for the moment they ultimately will fail in the end. John 14:6 states, “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” This is due to His bloodshed and perfect sacrifice for our sins.

No other religion, new world belief can make this claim other than Christianity! While the scriptures do not align with the worlds system, the Cross is the only way to overcome its hardships. John 16:33, These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

Though the Gospel message wars against our flesh. Trust the Holy Spirit to guide us into understanding for the salvation of our souls, and do not rebel against the love of Christ, Shalom…

When YAH Removes Friendships….

29 Aug

Genesis 13:8, So Abram said to Lot, “Please let there be no strife between you and me, and between my herdsmen and your herdsmen; for we are brethren. Is not the whole land before you? Please separate from me. If you takethe left, then I will go to the right; or, if you go to the right, then I will go to the left.”

Their will come times, when we will need to be removed from loved ones in order to spiritually grow. While we  all have the same goal of spending eternity with Jesus Christ, every man and woman will have their own separate journey. At times YAH will remove those not based on anything corrupting our spirit but more for our physical prosperity.

Abraham and Lot started their journey together but separated, having to do what was best for their flocks and herds. While this parting of ways was cordial many times YAH will divide us from others for our own spiritual growth.  Moreso the majority of time will be for our spiritual edification.

2 Corinthians 6:17, states “Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you.” Romans 16:17 also reads, “I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them.”I know that losing contact with close friends can be painful.

We must always trust the Holy Spirit, and look for the reasoning behind their absence. Were they hindering you? Or did they receive a deeper relationship with Jesus in their absence? Know that ultimately all things in this world will pass away (1 John 2:17) us included but Jesus Christ is forever, Shalom…
