The Credence Of The Eyewitness Accounts…

21 Mar

2 Peter 1:16, “For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty.”

The eye witness accounts of the risen Jesus Christ is one of the foundations of the Christian faith. Being born again and having faith in the Holy Bible is supported by key eye witness testimony.

1 Corinthians 15:3-8, “For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time.”

The crucifixion of Jesus happened between 28 to 33 AD. With the earliest written accounts documented being the Apostle Paul’s letters. The book of Galatians was transcribed 48 AD and First Thessalonians between 49-51, and the earliest Gospel of Mark written 70 or 80 AD. The earliest being Galatians which was written 20 to 25 years after the ressurection.

Paul after His born again experience (Acts 9) traveled and spoke with those who saw the risen Jesus. Documenting their accounts not only to strengthen His faith but unknowingly ours. Separating facts from mythology and into historical truth. While the Gospel accounts differentiate in all four books in small details (as can be expected as all witness may have seen different details from that day) they all claim that Jesus did die and was risen from the dead by YAH.

I look forward to when we as Believers can give our own testimony of seeing the risen Jesus after the second coming, Shalom…

Josephus

18 Mar

Josephus a Roman/Jewish historian between AD 37-AD 100, is an important extra-biblical individual to the Christian faith. Important due to the fact he documented that Jesus Christ lived and His existence is recorded outside of the Holy Bible. His two most famous works, The Jewish War and Antiquities of the Jews which accounts of key people, events and the Jewish way of life.
While I believe the Holy Bible should always be the main source of any account of Jesus Christ it’s always refreshing to hear about our Savior outside of the scriptures (see below), Shalom.

Now, there was about this time Jesus, a wise man, if it be lawful to call him a man, for he was a doer of wonderful works-a teacher of such men as receive the truth with pleasure. He drew over to him both many of the Jews, and many of the Gentiles. He was [the] Christ; (64) and when Pilate, at the suggestion of the principal men amongst us, had condemned him to the cross, those that loved him at the first did not forsake him, for he appeared to them alive again the third day, as the divine prophets had foretold these and ten thousand other wonderful things concerning him; and the tribe of Christians, so named from him, are not extinct at this day.

The Big Bang and The Resurrection, The Bible’s Two Great Miracles…

3 Mar

Genesis 1:3, “Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.“

Outside of the resurrection of Jesus Christ the Big Bang is one of YAH’s most impressive miracles! The calling of the physical universe into existence from nothing. The Big Bang is astronomers way of explaining how this universe began from a single point and expanded out.

When you think of the idea, nothing can manifest into a physical form from nothing. Space, time, planets and gravity came into existence from nowhere to form perfect harmony for sustaining life. The individual creating the universe also must exist outside of it, as nothing is created from within if nothing existed first.

Once the world fell into sin from the fall, YAH once again said “Let their be light,” and sent Jesus into the world to save us all. John 8:12, “Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” Born of a virgin, perfect in nature and without sin.

Two miracles, one proven through the scriptures and recorded eyewitness accounts, the other through science and theory. Both pointing to a omnipotent divine creator, willing to invade time and space to create and save His creation, Shalom…

The Harmony of The Gospels…

The Harmony of The Gospels…

The Gospels of Jesus Christ each carry a unique look into the life of the Messiah. Beginning with Matthew which defines Jesus as YAH’s king. Recorded through the lineage (Matt chapter 1) of Mary to King David and then to Abraham, done to show His fulfillment of 2 Samuel 7 in scripture.

The Gospel of Mark presents Jesus as a humble servant. Mark 10:45 states, “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” This presents the idea that in order to be Christ like we too must be servants of the Most High, sacrificing who we are to reflect His goodness unto the world.

Luke presents Christ as the “Son of Man.” The genealogy recorded by Luke in chapter 3 follows Joseph bloodline and not Mary’s all the way back to Adam (Luke identifies Jesus as the son of Joseph through marriage law and not blood.) Jesus refers to himself by this title fulfilling Daniel 7. This title expresses his sovereignty in the Earth. The same sovereignty we had before the fall of man into sin, and stresses that in Christ we return back to that.

John’s Gospel proclaims Jesus Christ as YAH, the great I AM (Exodus 3:14). John records Jesus claim to the title many differs times (John 6:35, 41, 48, 51, Chp 8: 12, Chp 10:7,9, Chp 11:25, Chp 10:11,14, Chp 14:6, Chp 15:1,5.

The harmony of the four Gospels presents Jesus Christ as King, Servant, Man and God, Shalom…

Jesus Anointed At Bethany…

26 Jan

Mark 14:3-9, And being in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, as He sat at the table, a woman came having an alabaster flask of very costly oil of spikenard. Then she broke the flask and poured it on His head. But there were some who were indignant among themselves, and said, “Why was this fragrant oil wasted? For it might have been sold for more than three hundred denarii and given to the poor.” And they criticized her sharply.
But Jesus said, “Let her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done a good work for Me. For you have the poor with you always, and whenever you wish you may do them good; but Me you do not have always. She has done what she could. She has come beforehand to anoint My body for burial. Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her.”

The anointing at Bethany is a exceptional account of faith. Yet while Jesus was still alive a woman (Thought to be Mary, the sister of Lazarus) anointed His head for burial. Yet while some still did not believe the Messiah would be resurrected, this woman did and came to anoint Him as king. Believing and receiving Jesus as the sacrifice for her sins.

I ask what are you believing YAH for? In prayer, approach the Most High through Jesus Christ and receive His divine will for your life. This post is in remembrance of the woman who anointed Jesus at Bethany, Shalom…

Resist The Devil And He Will Flee For You…

15 Jan

James 4:7, “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”

All the time Satan is looking for the opportunity to terminate our relationship with YAH. The enemy is fine tuned into our sin nature and knows exactly what will cause us to fall (1 John 2:16-17).

It is only through the rebuke of the enemy by way of our Faith in Jesus Christ. Submitting anger, lust, pride, jealousy. Galatians 1:4 reads “who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father.”

Prayer and the submission to the will of YAH, is the only way to resist the enemy. Know that the Lord’s will is for us to move in faith, virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.

I pray that we all carry these attributes with us throughout our day, Shalom…

Look For The Lord Now…

2 Jan

Look For The Lord Now…Isaiah 55:6-7, “Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.”

How much time is left for us to find the Lord? As we move about in our day to day lives we prioritize our duties as to what is important to the lest. For the majority work, school and errands take precedence but we need to assign prayer first thing when we awake.

Thanking the Most High for all that He has done and is doing. Pray for continued edification in the spirit for ourselves and loved ones. Seek the Lord while he may be found, refers to our time here on Earth. No man or woman knows how much time we have left in the physical world before we are called up to Him, in death it is too late.

Are you ready to meet YAH if that time is now? I pray the Body of Christ continuously seeks His will and guidance from the Holy Spirit while He can be found, Shalom…

Is Your Faith Inline With Your Belief?

18 Dec

The word according is defined as the degree or proportion. Jesus in Matthew 9:29 said to the two blind men, according to your Faith or belief in me, let you receive your blessing. The pair were believing in Christ in not only being the Messiah but also as a healer. As we pray and navigate our way through this life we need to ask ourselves, “what are we believing YAH for,” and is my Faith matching what my belief is?

Is our Faith enough to have the Holy Spirit to begin a new work in Jesus us? John 16:14, states, “He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.” James 1:17, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.”Every good and perfect gift is awaiting those who believe and can receive it. Know that no good thing will YAH withhold from you and believe that the God that we serve will do just that, Salom.

Is Living In A Sinful World A Reason To Not Believe In God?

16 Nov

2 Timothy 3:1-5, “But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,  without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—  having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.”

Many who have fallen away from the Faith or have never received the Holy Spirit will say, “With so much bad in the world, how can anyone believe in God?” My reply is that the Bible has always predicted troubling times, since the fall of man in the Garden of Eden. Human nature since then has only been exposing its sin and the need for salvation by accepting Jesus Christ as their Savior. We must not forget that even though God (YAH) is supreme the time has not yet come for sin and death to be fully put away (Revelation 21:4).

In these times we should not lose our Faith but be strengthened by it, knowing that the Lord has his hand on us. 1 Peter 5:6 states, “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.” We need to remain steadfast in this world being the example of Christ for hope of better times in the new Kingdom Age. Should we lose Faith in the face of evil? No, in knowing the scriptures recorded these circumstances and provided the answer to it in Jesus Christ, Shalom…

Why did YAH need to become a man, to save man?

30 Oct

A question that may arise is why did an all powerful God need to become a man in order save mankind? I believe the answer to this question can be given in three parts, with one being that mankind has dominion on the Earth. YAH created and then gave us the power over all things in Genesis 1:26. If the Most High was to come to this physical realm, that power would be His by default as YAH. In short, He is a keeper of His word operating under the divine law that He has created with man in control even when in need of a Savior.

The second part to this answer is so that He could become sin for us. 2 Corinthians states, “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” This becoming sin for us takes the sin nature spiritually away from us and to the grave when Jesus Christ was sacrificed. By placing our Faith in the finished work of Christ we are thus dead to sin based on His sacrifice and resurrection. This also shows that in every struggle YAH knows what we are dealing with having been made man. We need only to pray to Him and ask for strength and endurance in our trials and know that we will make it through by way of the Cross of Christ.

Lastly the third part is so that He could physically die for our sins. Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” YAH is no liar, when sin entered the world death surely did follow. In order to save mankind, God (YAH) becoming man so that He could physically die for our sins is the best example of love given to us. So, why did He need to become a man? Number one because of our dominion in the Earth, to experience sin and then lastly to take that sin from us, Shalom…
