The Teaching Moment Of Lucifer’s Fall…

1 Nov

Isaiah 14: 12-15 “How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’ Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit.

The fall of Satan from Heaven is a great teaching moment for all of YAH’s followers. Whereas in all of Satan’s prestige amongst the other hosts of heaven still chose pride as His god. We as Believers are given this choice everyday between our own will or that of YAH. Where we may at times have a lapse in our judgment and decide on what we want, the blood of Jesus is still there to keep us from final condemnation. The ideal of worldly goods and pleasures are very appealing to the flesh and is a constant enemy of our spirit (Galatians 5:17), however the blood of Jesus can always keep us from falling away (Romans 5:9)

Satan has always wanted mankind out of the way, so that He could have once again all the glory that was originally bestowed upon Him. Every act that He has taken to destroy mankind has and will always fail due to the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and power given to us by the Holy Spirit. I pray that we always choose YAH and not the pride of our own glory to keep Christ at the forefront of all, Shalom…

Victory In Faith…

12 Oct

1 John 5:4, “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.”

The Word of YAH states that Faith is the key factor in overcoming the this world. Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ that cleanses us of all sin. Our Faith reconciles is back unto the Lord. This, by way of His Holy Spirit allows us to put on the full armor of YAH (Ephesians 6:10-11), which protects and allows every Believer to stand firmly against the Devil.

Our Faith in the Cross of Christ is the true factor,  not tithes, good deeds or Church attendance, but Faith will allow us to overcome the world as stated in John 16:33, “ These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

Christ triumph at the Cross overcomes, depression, sickness, poverty and in the end death! We must always look to the Cross to overcome the tribulations of this world, Shalom…

Consolation In The Cross Of Jesus Christ….

23 Sep

2 Corinthians 1:5, “For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ.”

The suffering of Jesus Christ abounds in every Believer in the form of grace and mercy. This special gift given to us by Christ sacrifice, we carry with us each and everyday. A living testament of what YAH wants for all His children, operating by way of His Holy Spirit! YAH will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4). This desire will manifest in the form of hope, wisdom, health, purpose and prosperity according to His divine will.

It is a honor to share this consolation with others who do not know Jesus Christ as well. This perfect peace of being spirit filled with love grace and mercy, operating at a divine level bringing His kingdom here to Earth. I pray we all continue to provide this comfort to the unsaved world offering hope instead of despair, Shalom…

Scripture Study: 1 John 3:9, “Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.“

5 Sep

1 John 3:9 does not speak of believers being sinless, but of our sins now being covered by the blood of Jesus. Many think that once we are born again all desire to do wrong goes away which is not true. This scripture speaks to the power of Jesus Christ sacrifice and it’s ability to make us sinless, even while we may still from time to time.

This grace gives us the ability to live for Him to the best of our human ability, until His return. Not giving us clemency to sin, but grace for when we do to keep us in good standing with the Most High. So do not be deterred when we may sin remember Deuteronomy  31:6, “

Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you,” Shalom.

A Born Again Experience…

23 Aug

Acts 9:3-4, “As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”

A born again experience is described as when YAH makes himself known to those He has called to a divine purpose. That experience may come in a physical manifestation as recorded in Acts 9:3-4 or in another more subtle way as in just hearing the Gospel message from a friend. The born again experience is a divine calling whether for a grand purpose as leading a revival in your community or a larger stage, while others are to meet the needs of their family and peers among them.

This experience is life changing, being awakened from the sin nature and into the revelation of Jesus Christ, the need to turn away from sin and be a conduit of YAH here in the nature world. Being born again is a divine calling for the Holy Spirit to work through us to gather more unto the Most High, so that they too can receive their born again experience. Once awakened, we need to stay vigilant as to not fall asleep once again making the cross to no effect (1 Corinthians 1:17).

I pray we use this gift from YAH to spread the message of Christ and the need for repentance, some others can receive their born again experience, Shalom…

Scripture Study- Psalm 139:7, “Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?”

10 Aug

Psalm 139:7 has a two-part meaning about YAH. The first deals with the natural world, where the invisible God is ever present when have eyes to see. First we can see YAH in nature (Genesis 1:11-12) having created the birds, flowers and tress, the rising and setting of sun and moon (Amos 5:8). As being created in His image we also create everyday, for example construction workers building roads imitating His image (Hebrews 11:3).

The second part refers to our sin nature, and no matter how far we have fallen He is there to pick us back up Romans 8:38-39, For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Shalom

Strength In Our Pain

22 Jul

2 Corinthians 12: 7-10, “And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

I believe the pain we endure here in the natural realm is fuel for our spirit. YAH used the “thorn in the flesh” of Paul to power his spiritual growth which helped bring the Gospel to the Gentile nation. This pain edified and built Paul’s resiliency  making him a great Apostle, enduring prison and other hardships.

The same can be applied to us, the hurt we endured in our old life is a powerful tool to reform and transform our new self. When we are made “new” by way of the Christ (2 Corinthians 5) we still have to make amends with the pain of our past. We then, can use this pain to move us closer to Christ and the life YAH has ordained for us.

It’s a great thing to be able to look back and see just how far we have come, and gain motivation to not go back.  I pray we all use our pain to empower us for purpose, healing, and to empower others on their spiritual walk with Christ, Shalom…

If God Is Real, Why Is There So Much Death In The World?

11 Mar

1 John 5:19, “We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.”

Many individuals with a casual understanding of YAH, continually ask this question. It is only from reading and understanding the scriptures, one can come to a correct understanding of why? And the answer is very simple, we still live in a fallen world influenced by Satan. Salvation is offered to all through Jesus Christ, however many reject this salvation and remain under the sway of Satan. Thus allowing the struggle between good and evil to continue.

This sway or sin nature not only affects mankind in our thoughts and actions but also our health, physical world, and natural disasters such as hurricanes, earthquakes and tornadoes. One can reach this conclusion by knowing that through sin death entered the world (Romans 5: 12-19). Poor health or being caught in a natural disaster can result in an untimely death for believers and none believers alike. This is due to us all living in a sinful fallen world that will not be restored until Jesus Christ returns 1 Corinthians 15:26, “The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.”

This is why the Bible asks for all to put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-20) to protect us from every evil. While under the blood of Christ we are cleansed of sin, death still exists for everyone until His return. We all will pass from this world through death as a result of the sin still inhabiting it; but those in Him will live again as stated in John 11:25, “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world,” Shalom…

Falling Away From Christ…

25 Jan

1 Timothy 4:1, “But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons.”

One of the most disheartening things to see is when a believer falls away from the Faith. Though the Bible states such things will happen in the latter times, we as Disciples of Christ need to be diligent in strengthening those we know in the Faith.

This strength needs to be rooted in sound doctrine, and Faith in YAH that all things are working together in our favor. Sound doctrine allows our Spirit to look beyond the bad, and see YAH working. This doctrine laid out in the scriptures says that trying times will always be a part of believing in Christ.

Acts 9:16, states “for I will show him how much he must suffer for My name’s sake.” As well as in Philippians 1:29, “For to you it has been granted for Christ’s sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake.”
It is important to teach this message to our loved ones in Christ, so that when they do come they can remain strong in their Faith.

For every adversity that comes our way, YAH will make a way for all of us. Psalm 9:9-10, “The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.” Shalom.
