The Casting out of Evil Spirits…

Mark 1:21-27, “And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught. And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes. And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out, Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God. And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him. And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.

Their are many misconceptions about the deliverence from Evil Spirits in the world that we live, which many people saved and unsaved have subscribed to over years. Hollywood has played a major part in this misinformation as well as religious institutions around the world. The movie the “Exorcist,” seemed to be for awhile the study guide on how to identify and handle such occurrences when they arise. The Word of God however states nowehere that in order to drive out demonic spirits does not involve the need for Holy Water or big gothic crosses held by a Catholic Priest, but only true Bible studying Believers who have Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. By only Preaching the Word of God is sufficient enough to drive out evil spirits, or stating with authority the name Jesus Christ, who has all the authority over all things given to Him by Yahweh/God. Demonic Spirits do not always inhabit people but also the atmosphere in which we exist as stated in Ephesians 6:12, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” It is always good to awake in the morning and thank God for the Lord Jesus Christ, and in His name bless and protect our friends, family and work environment and bind all demonic spirits in the Holy name of Yeshua/Jesus Christ.
