Philippians 1:21,”For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”

In the scripture above the Apostle Paul was speaking on the concept of truly living for the Lord Jesus Christ. The total act of denying everything that He was to become what God truly wants for all of us, to be like Him! Living as Christ, is having a total dependency on the total will of God. Jesus Christ exhibited this especially during His earthly ministry, which was spent spreading the good news of the Gospel that was unfolding right in front of them at that time to witness. That God so loved the world that He gave His only son Jesus, to die for the sins of the world John 3:16. There is no greater duty for all Christians while we are here on earth, which is to tell everyone all that Jesus Christ has done for us through His death, burial and resurrection. The term “die,” in Philippians 1:21 is not that of a physical death but that of our own will. It calls for us to deny our personel beliefs and actions and wants to be more like Him, the same way that Jesus bent His will to that of God in MAtthew 26:39,”he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.” And the same why God is calling for all that He has chosen to believe in Him, God knows the greater good for our lives and the impact that we will make for His Kingdom on Earth. The “gain,” is eternal life with Him Revelation 21:4 states “God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Amen the “gain,” is eternal peace and security with the Love of God abounding forever with us. Help spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to someone who doesn’t know that Christ has already died so that we don’t have to. Be Blessed…
