Daniel 10:13, But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia.”
The prince spoken of in this verse from Daniel is that of a demonic entity that presides over this region of the world. A Biblical truth that is rarely spoken of, is that of evil forces that inhabit our Earthly domain and influence our culture and daily way of life. These evil spiritual forces are referenced in Ephesians 6:12 which states, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
Though the Blood of Jesus offers salvation and protection from these entities, there is still great evil in the world influencing the un-saved, due to all not being saved. This influence manifest in parts of America and other countries in being crime ridden and with some following false prophets and beliefs. This is why politicians are corrupted with greed and struggle for power, all due to the influence of spiritual wickedness. Prayers must be spoken for individuals, and also to bless the places and things which cannot be seen. While man can be reached with the Gospel and inanimate place or object cannot. They are subject to those who rule over it.
We as Believers must pray for all those who have not found Jesus to repent, and seek Him as well as for the countries that they love. Shalom
