Lamentations 3:24-25, “The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.”
One of the most important aspects of the Christian Faith is to always keep Our hope securely placed in the will of God! Through Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, as the perfect sin offering on the behalf of all mankind we are granted the Grace and Mercy of God and therefore His will for Our lives. The Bible states in Psalm 84:11, “For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.”
This pertains to Health, Perseverance, peace of mind and overall joy that is in Our Lord Jesus. In the above scripture “The Lord is my portion,” states all that one needs is found in Christ Jesus namely the remission of sin in the Believers life. This is due to the presence of the Holy Spirit at work in Our lives, who works only within Faith in the Cross of Jesus Christ (Romans 8).
By way of the Holy Spirit, the will of God is done in Our lives but we must know that God is in control and that His will for Us is perfect. The same way that Jesus prayed the will of the Father in the Garden of Gethsemane in Mark 14:36, “And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what THOU WILT.” All Christians must trust in God, who is omnipotent and knows all as opposed to Ourselves and others who do not know just what tomorrow will bring. Being submissive to the will of God, is also stated in the Lord’s Prayer found in Matthew 6:9-13, “After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, THY WILL BE DONE in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.”
The Cross of Christ produces the hope that all will be made right in Our lives, no matter just what things may look like to Us. The Lord’s will is being manifested in the life of the Believer. As long as we keep Our Faith planted at the Cross, and Our hope in the will of God. Shalom…
