Matt 13:54-55, “When He had come to His own country, He taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished and said, “Where did this Man get this wisdom and these mighty works? Is this not the carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary? And His brothers James, Joses, Simon, and Judas?”
Discreditation is one of the most powerful weapons the enemy has. Matthew 13:54-55 gives us an Biblical example, in how those in Christ own town of Nazareth refused his ministry based on his humble beginnings. The enemy caused doubt in Jesus, and gave them a reason to refuse the Gospel of Salvation that will in the end save the world.
In our own lives, we have similar callings maybe not in the ministry, but to be doctors, lawyers or political figures to better this world for the glory of YAH, but are refuted based on our background. We must always remember that our walk is righteous in Jesus, such as He is righteous (1 John 3:7) and our faith will always overtake our fear of rejection allowing us to achieve greatness in His name.
During these times of trouble remember James 1:2-4, “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” Shalom
